Tim Barker

CEO at DataSift Inc.

Tim Barker is CEO of DataSift Inc. He joined the company in 2011 to serve as Chief Marketing Officer and then Chief Product Officer, focusing on product and market strategy. Tim has more than 20 years of experience in the enterprise software market, spanning CRM, collaboration and content management. During his career Tim founded three successful startups, most recently Koral, a content collaboration startup which was acquired by Salesforce. He holds four patents in the area of on-demand services.

Eric Bell

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory

Eric Bell helps direct a number of Social Media research efforts at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), a Department of Energy multi-program laboratory. He works closely with leading social platforms and major agencies within the US government around pursuing joint research and benefit to society through the exploration of social data. Eric has a background in human language technologies and data sciences.

A West Coast transplant from the East Coast, Eric now resides in Richland, WA with his wife. Eric holds a Bachelor’s in Mathematics from Cedarville University and a Master’s in Computational Linguistics from the University of Washington.

Justin De Graaf

Director of Data Strategy & Precision Marketing at The Coca-Cola Company

Justin is the Global Media Insights Director at The Coca-Cola Company and sits within the Knowledge & Insights team in Coke’s worldwide headquarters in Atlanta. He supports the global marketing organization with measurement and strategy for social and digital initiatives. It’s in this role where Justin focuses on developing and deploying both external and in-house social analytics solutions throughout the Coca-Cola system to help drive stronger and more efficient marketing.

Before making the move to The Real Thing, Justin was delivering Global Media Insights at Unilever, based in New Jersey. He was responsible for all research with Unilever’s key global media partnerships at Google, Facebook, Twitter, Apple and Viacom.

A native Michigander, Justin now resides in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and young son. He earned a BBA from the Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University.

Mark Josephson

CEO at Bitly

Mark Josephson, CEO of Bitly, is a successful startup executive with a proven track record of building great teams and high-growth companies. Mark joined Bitly in September 2013 to help support the ever- increasing power of the link.

Mark advanced his career through leadership positions at five New York City-based startups. He was previously the CEO of Outside.in, a leading hyperlocal media company that was acquired by AOL in 2011 and merged with Patch.com, where he then served as a senior vice president. Prior to that, Mark was CMO at Seevast, where he was later named president. Mark also served as general manager and executive vice president of About.com, after starting his career at a leading public relations agency.

Megan Kelley

Senior Director, Center for Social Media at Fidelity Investments

Megan Kelley leads the Center for Social Media within Fidelity Investments' Center for Applied Technology (FCAT). FCAT is an idea and innovation catalyst group that helps Fidelity's businesses and clients imagine the possibilities and realize the benefits of new ideas and emerging technologies. At Fidelity, Megan drives research on emerging social media platforms, social business strategies, and social data infrastructure. She runs proofs of concept and pilots with business and technology partners across the firm and leads Fidelity's Social Media Community of Practice.

Prior to joining Fidelity, Megan worked in editorial and content analytics for startups and publishing companies. She received her BA in English from Williams College and her master's degree in Library and Information Science from Simmons College. She is fascinated by new ways for people, information, and context to connect.

Chris Moody

VP Data Strategy at Twitter

Formerly the CEO of Gnip, Chris Moody now serves as the VP of Data Strategy at Twitter.

Moody is considered a pioneer in the social data industry and has worked closely with leading social platforms such as Twitter, Tumblr, and Foursquare to formulate their data strategies. As a result, he has played a critical role in the first commercial availability of data from Twitter, Tumblr, Foursquare. WordPress, Disqus, GetGlue, StockTwits and more.

Prior to joining Gnip, Moody served as Founder and President of Aquent On Demand, a leading provider of technology solutions for creative and marketing organizations. Prior to his responsibilities with Aquent On Demand, Moody served as Aquent's Chief Operating Officer with responsibility for the day-to-day management of more than 700 employees across 70 offices in 17 countries.

David A. Schweidel

Associate Professor of Marketing at Emory University

David A. Schweidel is an associate professor of marketing at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. His research focuses on the use of social media data as a source of marketing intelligence. His research has appeared in leading business journals including Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science and Management Science. He is co-author of Social Media Intelligence and author of Profiting from the Data Economy.

At Emory University, he developed one of the first courses in digital and social media strategy for undergraduate and graduate students at a top 20 business school. He has spoken on the potential uses of social media data at events hosted by organizations including the American Marketing Association and the Marketing Science institute.

Tyler Singletary

VP & GM Klout and Consumer Data at Klout

Tyler Singletary is the VP & GM of Klout and Consumer Data at Lithium Technologies, managing the consumer data innovation and API and channel distribution platform of leading community, support and social data solutions to thousands of customers. At Klout, Tyler led data strategy and platform relations. He is an advisor to a number of startups, including Insightpool and Oniracom, as well as a writer and speaker on platform and API issues at industry conferences.

Farida Vis

Faculty Research Fellow in the Information School, Director of the Visual Social Media Lab at the University of Sheffield

Farida is an academic researcher based in the United Kingdom. She is the Director of the Visual Social Media Lab (@VisSocMedLab), which brings together researchers from academia (social sciences and humanities), industry and government with an interest in social media images.

She sits on the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council on Social Media and serves on the Editorial Board of three academic journals: Social Media & Society, Big Data & Society and Digital Journalism. She is a frequent public speaker, engages in cross-sector consultancy and advises a number of UK research councils on funding opportunities for research on social data.

Farida holds a BA in Media and Cultural Studies from Staffordshire University and a PhD in Media Studies from Manchester Metropolitan University (School of Art).
